More about the EIB Group
The European Investment Bank (EIB) is the long-term lending institution of the European Union, owned by its Member States. It finances sound investments that contribute to EU policy. EIB projects strengthen competitiveness, foster innovation, promote sustainable development and enhance social and territorial cohesion, while supporting a just and swift transition to climate neutrality.
As part of the EIB, the European Investment Fund (EIF) supports small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Europe by providing them with better access to finance in the form of debt financing instruments and equity investments, which are deployed through its financial intermediaries across Europe.
Both institutions are based in Luxembourg, but have European/global reach depending on their funding priorities and projects. The EIB has identified the implementation of the Group’s client portal as a key pillar of its digital transformation strategy.
